Microsoft has introduced a new Copilot app on Android, offering users a fresh avenue to engage with the AI-powered assistant and its array of features. This App Found by @technosarusrex on X (formerly Twitter), the app is now available for download on the Google Play Store, with indications that it quietly entered the marketplace approximately a week ago.

After a month, Microsoft rebranded Bing Chat to Copilot. Indicating a shift towards a more standalone experience for users. The Copilot app on Android bears striking similarities to ChatGPT, offering users chatbot capabilities, image generation through DALL-E 3, and the ability to draft text for emails and documents. Notably, it also provides free access to OpenAI’s latest GPT-4 model, a feature that typically requires payment when using ChatGPT.

While there is currently no indication of an iOS version of Copilot. In the meantime, users on iOS devices can continue to access Copilot features through the Bing app. The availability of Copilot on Android signifies a logical step forward in expanding the user base for this AI-powered tool, providing a more convenient and standalone experience for Android users.
