In a groundbreaking move for iOS users, the highly anticipated Delta emulator has finally made its debut on the Apple App Store. Developed by Riley Testut, this polished Nintendo emulator promises to revolutionize gaming on iPhones. Available for free, users worldwide, except those in the European Union, can now access the emulator directly through the official store. EU residents can find it on the newly launched AltStore PAL app marketplace.

The arrival of the Delta emulator on the Apple App Store is a significant milestone for iOS gaming enthusiasts. Not only does it provide access to a vast library of classic games, but it also demonstrates Apple’s evolving stance towards emulation software. Riley Testut’s dedication to refining Delta over the years ensures a seamless and feature-rich experience for users, setting a high standard for emulation on mobile platforms. With its versatility and extensive compatibility, Delta has the potential to redefine how iPhone users engage with retro gaming content.

Delta offers extensive console emulation, ranging from the classic Nintendo Entertainment System to the Nintendo 64, and even includes the Sega Genesis. Testut assures users via email that the app’s functionality mirrors that of its AltStore PAL counterpart. With customizable on-screen buttons that adapt to each system being emulated, Delta also supports Bluetooth controllers such as Xbox One Series S and PS5 controllers. Gamers can personalize controller layouts, set quick save states, and fast-forward through tedious cutscenes.

Impressively, Delta accommodates unique Nintendo input methods like gyroscopic controls in games such as WarioWare: Twisted! and microphone controls in Nintendo DS titles like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The emulator automatically fetches box art for games and allows users to customize it using its built-in database or personal images. Additionally, multiplayer support for NES, SNES, and N64 games (up to four players) as well as AirPlay streaming further enhance the gaming experience.

While other emulators have attempted to fill this niche, Delta stands out due to its robust features and extensive development history. Released in 2019 alongside Testut’s AltStore, Delta has undergone five years of refinement, positioning it as one of the most polished emulation experiences available for iPhones.
